Description

This one is fused with its ceramic base. Glass blower crucible from the hearth of award-winning glass artist Elaine Hyde. During the 1970’s and 1980’s we shared a Santa Barbara Funk Zone Studio at 28 Anacapa Street. I developed my Force Fin there, now part of the permanent collections of the New York Museum of Modern Art. I also conducted my underwater photography business there. I collected Elaine Hyde’s hand-blown glass, jewelry, and nabbed crucibles before she could dispose of them. With Elaine’s permission, I offer them to you as decorative art today.
